Trip to Reunion Island

The EU's secret paradise

Travel details Reunion Island (Volcano, Rum and Vanilla)

Reunion Island in the Indian Ocean is a true paradise. To explore its tropical forests, volcanoes, ravines and endemic birds. It is a mixture of origins, skin colours and flavours with aromas of vanilla, turmeric and aged rum.
The geology of the island is similar to that of Hawaii, due to its volcanic character. Piton de la Fournaise is an active Red-Hot Spot volcano (2,611 metres high), with very effusive eruptions.
Reunion Island is an Overseas Department of France, so the entry requirements are identical to those for any other country or territory belonging to the European Union.
